Esteem
Team Member Spotlight:
|
Mark
Williamson
|
With the continued growth of the
Esteem membership base, we are pleased to introduce a new function,
contribution coordinator, to the Esteem staff. The idea surrounding
the contribution coordinator is to have an individual dedicated
to all aspects of the incident contribution process. This allows
Esteem to be more proactive in the collection, maintenance, reporting
and confirmation of theft cases submitted to Esteem by all of our
members.
As you know, Esteem works hard to be flexible in the ways we receive
theft incident data and supporting documentation required to verify
the contributions. By having a dedicated resource manage the process
of member contributions, we will look to identify new ways to make
the contribution process more efficient for our members. The contribution
coordinator will be in contact with all members to solicit feedback
regarding their individual contribution processes.
We were fortunate to be able to move a current Esteem staff member
into the contribution coordinator position. Mark Williamson joined
the Esteem staff as a research specialist in 2002. Mark has a bachelor's
degree in criminal justice and has experience in law enforcement
and interpreting court records.
ChoicePoint has actively developed relationships with case management,
civil recovery, and other loss prevention service providers that
will help facilitate seamless solutions for your contribution process.
Mark will address, with each Esteem member, these third-party relationships
that may allow data to be transferred to Esteem more easily.
We will apply best practices in the areas of data transfer and signed
admission verification to make the contribution process more efficient
for everyone involved. You can look forward to hearing from Mark
regarding your contribution process.
As always, we thank you for your continued support of the Esteem
program!

Esteem
Partners with Loss Prevention Leaders
Esteem is moving forward in relationships
with loss prevention firms with the idea of making life easier for
our mutual customers. We can achieve this goal by sharing data electronically,
thereby avoiding the double entry of data, eliminating typing mistakes,
improving turn-around time of reports and keeping costs down.
Those loss prevention firms include:
KRI (King Rogers International), Unicru, Civil Recovery Services,
Loss Prevention Software, Palmer, Reifler & Associates and Ru-Me
Interactive (Learn It Solutions).
Esteem is open to partnering with other loss prevention companies.
If your company works with a loss prevention company not listed
and you believe it would be beneficial for Esteem to partner with
them, please let
us know.

January Top 10 Hit Report
In the past few years, Esteem has
collected hundreds of thousands of theft incidents, most of which
cannot be found in standard public records. This type of intelligence
helps retailers prevent future losses by identifying questionable
individuals before they are hired.

The
Unicru - Esteem Joint Solution:
|
 |
Speeding
up time-to-hire and ensuring consistent screening |
Would your hiring managers like to
see the results from the Esteem Theft Database before they interview
or spend any time with applicants? It's possible, and a few employers
have been taking advantage of this automated screening for years.
Since 1996, Unicru and SecurePoint
have partnered to provide thousands of hiring managers an easy and instant
method to access results from Esteem. This partnership is a great benefit
to our customers because of the speed and ease with which managers can
make hire/no hire decisions.
Within 7 seconds after the applicant
completes an electronic application on the Unicru hiring management
system at the hiring location or from the employer's web site, SecurePoint
sends the Esteem results back to Unicru. Unicru then sends those results
to the hiring manager.
"Our alliance with SecurePoint
provides hiring managers with a powerful way to focus on workforce quality
while decreasing time spent on the hiring process," said Chris
Marsh, Unicru president and CEO. "Joint clients are quickly guided
to the best candidates as results of the Esteem scan are reported in
Unicru's Interview Guide. This allows hiring managers to see applicant
details and suggested interview questions before they have spent one
minute with the applicant."
1.5 Million Applicants Screened
Large employers from the retail industry, including discount stores,
drug stores, video entertainment, and mass merchandisers have implemented
this automated, integrated solution. In fact, in 2002 alone, Unicru
requested nearly 1.5 million Esteem checks for the companies' shared
clients. This volume will likely double in 2003.
Experts in Hourly Hiring
Unicru Inc. is the leading provider of hiring management systems for
the largest segment of the American workforce: hourly workers. Unicru
has processed more than 10 million job applications and evaluates approximately
one application per second during the average U.S. workday. For more
information about Unicru, visit: www.unicru.com.
